The leadership team is made up of humble leaders that routinely put their company above themselves. They would not ask anything of an employee they would not do themselves.
Review from Engineering Dept
They truly live every day by our company values.
They are authentic, curious, and supportive people who use their roles to further the impact our company can have and to support the team's growth.
Clear and open communications regarding all aspects of the company from finances to goals and vision.
Empathy & strategic, well-planned decision-making
Leadership needs to get better at setting and communicating a company direction, which always feels vague. They need to hire or promote experts in digital services delivery into actual senior positions and then actually listen to them. And they need to do things instead of talking about doing things

Insurance offerings are best of class and their commitment to my 401K is strong.
Review from Engineering Dept
They have a great retirement matching policy. The health insurance has many options for different people.
Review from IT Dept
A flexible leave policy - you don't have to stress out over the hours you have left for annual leave.

Take as needed vacation/sick days and great insurance.
The benefits package, paid healthcare
If there was better job stability
One tiny cost of living raise after several years of working here.
CivicActions hires great humans, not rock-stars. We attract humble servant leaders who choose to do good work.

Review from IT Dept
We communicate openly and honestly with each other. When hard things come up we discuss it and work together towards resolutions. We make time for fun and connection. We all want to be here.
Work-life balance is promoted in the company culture. Co-workers pull their weight to help each other out during difficult times.
Review from Engineering Dept
Good balance between being able to pursue personal passions and contributing to company/team goals
The company needs to live up to its own values instead of just repeating them on all hands calls. Don't just read financial numbers, tell us what you're doing about them and what you need from us. Really address team concerns instead of saying they're not real problems.
Review from Engineering Dept
More group activities throughout the year
Fun interviews and very fast recruiter response
Candidates engage with multiple different team members throughout the process, and often get to meet with team members they will work directly with
The wait was a bit long between stages, the take home exam was not easy. But the process was worth it as the people I talked to during the interview were all great in conversation and excellent in technical skills, and the company turned out to be a great place to work.

Solving government problems on behalf of the governed is pretty cool.
Review from Engineering Dept
Highly collaborative culture, with lots of appreciation
Review from Engineering Dept
The people I work with; the focus and flexibility that we cultivate, and the sincere desire to learn and have a positive impact on the world.
I enjoy solving problems with a diverse group of people. You never know where that solution is going to come from.
Wowing our customers and showing them new ways to think about building software for government in an impactful way.
I often don't feel very valued by the company except as a cog in the machine. People are hired to be excellent widgets, but the company doesn't seem to want anyone to be much more and actively pushes down people who point out issues or try to fix them.

Pay equity. Pay me more. I'm struggling. I shouldn't be clipping grocery coupons like this.
