David J. Vergo — President of Safety-Kleen at Clean Harbors

Mr. David J. Vergo serves as the President of Safety-Kleen at Clean Harbors, Inc. Mr. Vergo joined Clean Harbors, Inc. in October 2016. He served as the President of USA Industrial Chemical Sales at Univar Inc. from April 2015 to July 15, 2016. He joined Univar in October 2012 as Regional Vice President, East Region (U.S.). Prior to Univar, he worked at The Dow Chemical Company, where he held a variety of roles from May 2006 to October 2012 including Director of Distribution, Strategic Planning Leader, Business Director and Global Marketing Director for Dow Oxygenated Solvents, a leading global business for Dow. Mr. Vergo spent the first six years of his career in the environmental industry with PDC Environmental Services in Peoria, Ill. From April 1999 to May 2006, he worked at PVS Nolwood Chemicals, Inc., a pioneer in mini-bulk services and full-line chemical distributor serving the Midwest U.S. He serves on the board of trustees for the Chemical Education Foundation. He spent the first six years of his career in the environmental industry with PDC Environmental Services in Peoria, Ill., a solid and hazardous waste full-service company. Mr. Vergo holds a Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry from Bradley University and an M.B.A. from Cardinal Stritch University.
