What are some of the best things about your team?
Still lots of great people at Confluent. Its the new CFO, new Global Head of Sales that do not have any relevant experience. We don't have a Chief Revenue Officer to reign in the nonsense so bad decisions just get worse.

What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
Flexibulity. I work a little more to be ready for the next level
Confluent was a really great company and the technology stack is amazing. Confluent Kafka has defined a whole new event driven market. Sadly they have not invested in software engineers, especially network engineers so many product features have been pushed for over 2 years. (PL on Azure, GCP)

Meaningful work to coach "old school" managers.
What did you like most about the interview process?
The people were good at what they did and smart so they were easy to talk to. They weren't stuck on buzzword bingo and in the weeds technical details.

The recruiter acted as a real mentor and gave me good advice to succeed in the process.
