Mr. James J. Mulva, also known as Jim, serves as the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of ConocoPhillips Alaska, Inc. Mr. Mulva served as the Chairman of ConocoPhillips from August 2002 to June 1, 2012, Chief Executive Officer from October 2008 to June 1, 2012 and President from May 2011 to June 1, 2012. He served as the President of ConocoPhillips from October 1, 2004 to October 2008 and also from 2002 to 2004. In 1973, he began his career with Phillips Petroleum Company. He served in a variety of domestic and international positions at Phillips Petroleum and served as its Treasurer since 1986 and Chief Financial Officer since 1990. He served as an Executive Vice President of Phillips since January 1994. He served as the Chairman, Chief Executive Officer and President of Phillips from 1999 to 2002. Mr. Mulva served as the Chairman of the Board of Directors and Chief Executive Officer of Phillips Petroleum Company from October 1999 to August 2002, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors, President and Chief Executive Officer of Phillips from June 1999 to October 1999, President and Chief Operating Officer of Phillips from May 1994 to June 1999. He served as Senior Vice President and joined Phillips's management committee in 1993. He served as a US Navy Officer until beginning his career with Phillips in 1973. He served as the Chairman of the American Petroleum Institute since 2006. He has been a Director of ConocoPhillips Alaska, Inc. since 1994. He has been an Independent Director of General Electric Company since 2008. He serves as a Director of Greater Houston Partnership, Inc. He serves as a Director of Baker Hughes, a GE company. He serves as a Member of Advisory Council of Red Mccombs School of Business at The University Of Texas At Austin. Mr. Mulva has been an Independent Director of General Motors Company since June 12, 2012. He served as a Director of Baker Hughes Incorporated. He served as a Director of Statoil ASA from July 1, 2013 to June 9, 2015. He served as a Director of ConocoPhillips from August 2002 to June 1, 2012. He served as a Director at DCP Midstream, LLC. He served as a Director of Phillips from 1994 to 2002. He is a Member of the Board of Visitors of M.D. Anderson Cancer Center and Member of The Business Council and The Business Roundtable and serves as a Trustee of the Boys and Girls Clubs of America. In recognition of his success in guiding the merger of energy giants, he was named by his peers as 'Petroleum Executive of the year for 2002'. He was inducted into the McCombs School Hall of Fame in 2004. Mr. Mulva graduated from the University of Texas in 1968 with a B.B.A degree in Finance and an MBA Degree in Finance in 1969.
