An Acquisition Firm recently bought covanta. Since then, our anual Bonus for hourly employees has been taken away( Salary/management are still able to recieve one based on plant/region anual performance). Also, our insurance has spiked in recent years by 55%. THATS A LOT. Bad management.

What do people at Covanta think about the CEO? What do they do well and what can they improve?

The executive staff are ghosts and seem to make decisions without guidance or consultation from their department heads. My advice would be to spend more time with the teams, learning pain points and collaborate to come up with solutions. Furthermore, they should provide dept heads and line managers with their "commanders intent" so that subordinates can act in the essence of what the people at the top want and not waste cycles on tasks that will be disregarded.

It depends on the department. My interviewer used profanity the whole time, and my boss says GD every other sentence.

Show that you care more about your people than money. Invest in them and listen to them.
How's the work life balance at Covanta?
WFH is a serious problem: HR has no defined rules on WFH so people just use it as needed. Because its a company largely run by baby boomers, long hours are expected and WFH is frowned upon thus causing the problem.
