I love working here. But, CA grew so fast, and COVID forced so many changes. Our core genetics haven't changed, though - we're still doing what we did then, just bigger and more complicated. But one thing CA always does do is figure things out.
What do you like best about the leadership team?
Honesty and transparency in the how's and why's of decisions that are made. High levels of empathy and a willingness to listen across levels.
What is the best part about your compensation package?
That efforts have been made to keep pay parity across genders here at CA; it came as a complete astonishment to me. I'm also very happy with our health coverage allowing for a PPO option.
What makes you most happy at work?
Helping our team to find and solve problems, enhance our effectiveness, the creative side of what I get to do. Sharing what I've learned with others to save them time/effort. Building lasting friendships with my teammates and meeting interesting new people in other teams.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
Acceptance of people for who they are, as they are. People here come from all kinds of backgrounds, age-diverse, linguistically and culturally diverse. Passion for the work we do, but also (in many teams) a built-in playfulness and kind humor. Cultivating a safe feeling for opinions & listening.
What are some of the best things about your team?
A shared sense of nerdiness, a willingness to accept people's differences, humility enough that people aren't ever afraid to say, "I don't know but we can find out!" as an answer to a question. Pride enough to celebrate wins big and small, though we've fallen behind on doing that lately.
