Great people and interesting work. Terrible communication and unrelenting frustration. Product goals shift constantly and editorial is underresourced. While we have unlimited vacation, project schedules are not adjusted. Generally, I have to work my "vacation" hours before and after I am out.

Workload is absurd and my department, while essential, is undervalued as a whole.
What are some of the best things about your team?
Super smart conscientious people drawn to a mission. Unfortunately our idealism allows us to be exploited.
What's going wrong and how can it be improved?
Communication is poor. Feedback loops are out of control, with frenetic rounds of review by an ever expanding group of "stakeholders," many of whom have their fingers in too many pies to really understand what they're commenting on. Massive workload and no coherent vision.
