What are some of the best things about your team?just getting along, so the day was worth it. I was the only black, and they looked at me for my work ethic and not my color.
What do your coworkers need to improve and how could you work together better?My coworkers are talented and hardworking, but collaboration is often hindered by unclear job roles, lack of training, and misaligned responsibilities. Better role clarity, training, and communication from leadership would improve teamwork and efficiency.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?"I was assigned high-level technical work (SQL, data engineering) but paid far below market rates. Proper job classification, fair market compensation, and transparency in salary structure would improve this. Compensation should reflect the actual responsibilities, not outdated job titles.
What does the leadership team need to get better at?Leadership needs to align pay with actual job responsibilities, improve transparency in promotions, and address concerns without retaliation. They should invest in structured training and ensure their ‘people-first’ culture is reflected in compensation and career gro
