Dr. Dinesh Kumar, M.D. has been Senior Vice President of Clinical Transformation at DaVita Inc. (formerly known as DaVita HealthCare Partners Inc.) since September 2015. Dr. Kumar leverage his passion for cost-effective, evidence-based care to drive efforts that take the proven care management model of HealthCare Partners across the country.?? He takes on this new challenge after having been part of the HealthCare Partners family for over 14 years. During his time at HealthCare Partners, Dr. Kumar has held many roles including hospitalist, lead hospitalist, regional medical director and most recently Chief Medical Officer of the California Market. Dr. Kumar received his medical degree from the University of Madras (India) and completed his residency in internal medicine at Howard University in Washington, D.C. He went on to complete his fellowship in pulmonary and critical care medicine at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center and completed a two-year California Healthcare Foundation Leadership fellowship at University of California, San Francisco.
