Robert Lang — President & CEO of Davita International at DaVita

Mr. Robert Lang has been the President and Chief Executive Officer of Davita International at DaVita Inc. since April 2017. Mr. Lang joined DaVita from International Health Insurance danmark a/s (formerly, Bupa Global). A seasoned executive with international experience spanning Europe, the Middle East, Asia and Latin America, he most recently led Bupa's international markets business. He served as the Managing Director of International Markets Business at International Health Insurance danmark a/s since September 2016. Mr. Lang served as Managing Director of International Health Insurance danmark a/s from February 2013 to September 2016 and oversaw its international private medical insurance operations globally and led strategic expansion in China, India, Brazil, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates. Mr. Lang served as Managing Director of International PMI at The British United Provident Association Limited. He served as Managing Director of Insurance in Hong Kong at HSBC Holdings plc since December 2010. He served as the Chief Executive Officer of Insurance for the UK at HSBC Holdings plc. He served as the Chief Distribution Officer for Insurance Europe at ING. prior to joining HSBC, where he served in multiple leadership roles. These included Chief Executive Officer HSBC Life (UK), Head of Insurance UK, Head of Insurance Europe and Managing Director of HSBC's four market leading insurance businesses (Life, General, MPF and Health) in Hong Kong. He served as the Head of Strategy and Transformation for UBS Wealth Management in Europe. He started his career as an Officer in the Australian Army, where he served from 1991 to 1998. He serves as a Director at Highway to Health, Inc. Mr. Lang holds a Master of Business Administration from London Business School, along with an Economics and Arts (Honours) degrees from Monash University, Melbourne.
