Mr. Gareth T. Joyce has been Senior Vice President of Airport Customer Service at Delta Air Lines, Inc. since June 2017 and as President of Delta Cargo. Mr. Joyce served as the Chief Executive Officer and President at Mercedes-Benz Canada Inc. from January 1, 2016 to May 1, 2016. Mr. Joyce served as Vice President of Customer Services at Mercedes-Benz USA, LLC (MBUSA) from February 2012 to January 1, 2016. Mr. Joyce served at MBUSA with extensive international management experience. He was director of after-sales for Mercedes-Benz Netherlands with responsibility for all after-sales, customer service and parts sales and distribution. He began his automotive career in 2004 with DaimlerChrysler South Africa as senior technical manager for all five brands of the business, including Chrysler Jeep, Mercedes-Benz passenger cars, Mercedes-Benz commercial vehicles and Freightliner/FUSO commercial vehicles. He was named vice president of after-sales for Mercedes-Benz South Africa where he not only delivered on customer service strategy, but worked to grow the already significant parts revenue with improved efficiency. He launched his career as an engineer for the Howden Group in South Africa in 1995 and moved on to hold key positions in corporate engineering and management consultancy firms such as Deloitte & Touche, Austen and the Standard Bank of South Africa. Mr. Joyce holds a bachelor of science degree in mechanical engineering from the University of the Witwatersrand and a master of commerce in business management from Rand Afrikaans University.
