I set an appointment on line, arrived at the location and checked in. After 40 minutes waiting I was told they didn't have my tires. The manager and district manager called me and apologized but never offered me anything for my time, not even a soda, just said to make another appointment.

How's the work life balance at Discount Tire?
What ever work you put in, you'll be compensated. If you don't work hard and show up late, you're not gonna get hours, you're not getting vacation time off. You work hard, and show up you'll get noticed. It's that simple. If you're in it for just a job and treat it as much, this is not the place you want to work with. Sure you're a tech, but look your manager he was a tech at one time. If you show the drive and mentality you too could be the manager of your very own store. I've had coworkers that had started only a year before me and now he's senior assistant manager, and all it took was 5 years and hard work to be the best, mind you he's only 25yrs old. Just some food for thought.
Horrible. It's all about work. No paid vacation for lowly techs.
