Executive Bio

Mr. Stephen M. Taylor, also known as Steve, has been the President of Global Energy at Nalco Champion LLC since April 2013. Mr. Taylor has been an Executive Vice President of Ecolab Inc. since October 2012. Mr. Taylor leads the Energy Services team, with responsibility for day-to-day operations of Nalco Champion 8,000+ people. He serves as an Executive Vice President and President of Global Energy at Ecolab Limited. He served as a Group Vice President and President of Energy Services Division of Nalco Finance Holdings LLC since May, 2007. He served as President of Global Energy Services at Ecolab Inc. from October 2012 to March 2013. He joined Nalco in 1994, when the joint venture Nalco/Exxon Energy Chemicals was created between Nalco and Exxon Energy Chemicals. Prior to Ecolab in 2011 through a merger with Nalco Company, he served as an Executive Vice President and President of Energy Services at Nalco Holding Company since January 2009 and since May 30, 2007 respectively. He began his career with Exxon in 1983 as a Programmer/Analyst for Esso Petroleum and held various business positions before transferring to Exxon Chemical Energy Chemicals in 1986. Mr. Taylor served as Group Vice President of Nalco Holding Company from May 30, 2007 to January 2009. He served as Vice President for Energy Services Upstream Energy Services at Nalco Holding Co. since 2006. He served as Strategic Business Unit Leader of Nalco Oilfield Chemicals group since 2005. He served as a Division Vice President of Marketing for Upstream and Downstream in Nalco Energy Services division since 2004. From 2002 to 2004, Mr. Taylor served as Worldwide Marketing Manager of Nalco and served as North American Oilfield Chemicals Sales Manager from 1998 to 2002. He began his career with Nalco in 1995 and served as Middle East Sales Manager for Nalco and Exxon Energy Chemicals. He held a number of business marketing and research positions with Exxon Chemical before entering sales as an Energy Representative in the Sultanate of Oman in 1989. He served as Sales Manager for the Middle East, when he joined Company through the formation of the Nalco/Exxon Joint Venture in 1994. Since 1988, he served as Business Development Manager for Research. In 1990, he transferred to the Middle East and served various sales management positions including General Manager of Emirates National Chemical Company. He has a Bachelor's Degree in Geology from Bristol University in the United Kingdom.
