We've created several ongoing efforts to create a work environment where DEI are woven into our culture, behaviors, processes and operations with a focus on employee networks, training, recruitment and partnerships, among other initiatives. Our global DEI Council helps to inform our firm-wide strategy and implement in their regions. We've highlighted a few of our efforts below...
We're a committed partner in elevating DEI within the communications industry at large, partnering with organizations such as The 4A's, The Inclusive 100, ADCOLOR, 3 percent, the National Association of Black Journalists and others. We also partner with global organizations such as The Valuable 500 on disability inclusion, The International Women's Forum and several others making a difference in the workplace.
Our required Cross-Cultural Competency training is tailored to our business and is required for each member of our U.S. workforce. The goal is to ensure each employee has the knowledge and tools to help them in creating a more inclusive work environment and culture. Globally, training in unconscious bias and inclusive leadership are in development.
Our 8 Employee Network Groups serve as vehicles to build an internal community in which employees can share, learn and grow—professionally and personally. These groups are the catalyst for helping our employees create a community within the larger Edelman family. Through the work of the networks, our employees play an active role in acknowledging, celebrating and educating fellow colleagues about diverse cultures, ideals and beliefs.
