Mr. Michael J. Harrington, also known as Mike, has been Senior Vice President and General Counsel at Ei Lilly & Company since January 1, 2013. Since joining Lilly in 1991 as an attorney in product liability litigation, Mr. Harrington served in a number of other business and legal positions, including Managing Director of the New Zealand affiliate and as Associate General Counsel for Lilly's operations in the Asia-Pacific region. Most recently, he served as Vice President and Deputy General Counsel of Global Pharmaceutical Operations and he was responsible for legal issues related to Lilly's five global business units. Before joining Lilly, he was a Litigator at the law firm of Baker & Daniels in Indianapolis. He serves on the boards and executive committees of the Indiana Chamber of Commerce, Lawyers for Civil Justice and the Indiana Repertory Theatre. He is also a Member of the Board of Trustees and Executive Committee of Albion College and a Member of the board of the International School of Indiana. He earned a bachelor's degree in English from Albion College and a law degree from the Columbia University School of Law.
