Mr. Edward L. Monser, also known as Ed, has been the President of Emerson Electric Co. since October 2010. Mr. Monser served as the Chief Operating Officer of Emerson Storage Solutions since November 2001. He served as the Chief Operating Officer of Emerson Electric Co. from November 2001 to February 3, 2015. He has more than 30 years of experience in senior operational positions at Emerson and has played key roles in establishing Emerson Storage Solutions as a leader in the process industry and expanding its international presence. Mr. Monser is responsible for Emerson's day-to-day business activities and all of Emerson's international business activities, which includes acquisitions, business development, investments and strategic planning. Since 1996, he served as President of Emerson's Rosemount division. Under his leadership, Rosemount developed a range of innovative 'smart??? measurement and analytical devices for the process industry and expanded its service and solutions capabilities. He also led Rosemount through significant operational efficiencies in recent years. He began his career as a senior engineer at Rosemount in 1981. He served as Director of Technology for Rosemount since 1987. Two years later, he served as Director of new products and technology for Rosemount. He held vice president positions overseeing several critical operations at Rosemount before served as its Executive Vice President and general manager. He served as Vice Chairman and Director of US-China Business Council, Inc. He has been an Independent Director of Air Products & Chemicals Inc. since September 2013. He served as an Advisory Director of Emerson Electric Co. Mr. Monser serves on the board of trustees for the Eisenhower Fellowships. Mr. Monser received BS in electrical engineering from Illinois Institute of Technology in 1980. He also has a BA in education from Eastern Michigan University and is an alumnus of the executive education program at the Stanford University Graduate School of Business.
