Equity Lifestyle Properties Compensation Employee Reviews

What is the best part about your compensation package?

bonus and the time off

Review from HR Dept

Benefits package have improved quite a bit over the past few years.

5 mental Health days above and beyond PTO/Holiday, etc. Free membership to enjoy the companies offerings

Review from Operations Dept

I don't use our insurance.

Review from Operations Dept

The time off that is provided

I feel that I am compensated fairly for the work that I do and the city I live in.

Review from HR Dept

Vacation time and the extra paid time off.

Having Blue Cross Blue Shield as our health insurance provider.

the total package is good. I wish they would go with PTO instead of sick/MHW/personal/vacation pay.

Review from Operations Dept

Pay for my role in the company is fair.

Salary is fairly competitive with other companies and vacation time is good

Review from IT Dept

Working towards the end of the year bonus, I truly believe if you strive throughout the year, one should be rewarded, and ELS accommodates that to their best ability.

Review from HR Dept

Plenty of available paid time off (PTO)

Review from IT Dept

everything is great !! obviously the more experience you have the better salary you will get.

Review from IT Dept

Mental health and personal days

Review from HR Dept

Aligned with market. Annual bonus is a great plus.

Review from HR Dept

"The salary and vacation days"

ELS offers an overall wonderful compensation package, with the best part being the salary combined with opportunities for time off including personal time off, vacation days, Mental Health and Wellbeing days, your Birthday, and time off when needed for sick days.

I like the emphasis on mental health and community service.

Insurance, dental, eye, mental health days

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

I do feel underpaid in the market by about 20-30%. That being said, I love my job and the culture here and don't have plans to leave anytime soon. However, not everyone feels that way. I find it hard to source and keep qualified talent with the variance in our pay scale.

Review from Operations Dept

I definitely work more than others in my group and throughout the company. I have provided a lot of process improvements for my department and I feel like I get dumped on and not acknowledged by my team and other departments. I think recognition and work/life balance would help remedy that situation

If I was closer to market value for my roll

This company is known to pay at the lower end and thats why so many leave. Most employees, unless youre an executive, get very small raise increases (cost of living). 2%-3% is nothing when you're on the lower end of the payscale, especially with the rising inflation these days.

Review from Admin Dept

I personally feel the bonus is on the lower end from other jobs I've had. The compensation is 'fair' but for the amount of work with a small team, I feel should be a little higher.

Would like to see the comp at or better than national levels.

Review from Operations Dept

To be paid fairly according to the market. Reviewing bonuses before they are issued to identify any issues or mistakes

Review from Operations Dept

I don't necessarily feel undervalued but after conducting market research my role typically makes more in the area I live in. Additional perks such as gym membership, phone bill, and commute reimbursement would help offset the pay gap.

Review from Admin Dept

The salary should be competitive to the market

Review from Legal Dept

Compare to others in this field, pay seems to be less here.

Review from Operations Dept

Roles are paid considerably lower than those in the area, with little opportunity for growth.

Review from Marketing Dept

I am paid less than my counterpoint whom I helped train in their position. I have also taken on a Building Services role in which I hire vendors and manage the building and am not given additional compensation.

Our Health Insurance is very Expensive.

I feel compensation should be better and healthcare benefits should be improved.

I would like a clearer understanding of my role within my team and a path forward.

Compensation should be evaluated more frequently to ensure our teams remain competitively compensated. We have great talent at ELS and I believe we make an effort to recognize when possible. however, a broader review might be needed to bring some to an appropriate range.

Review from Marketing Dept

relative to the market place i feel like I am slightly below market relative to work load. stock options or higher pay will make feel better.

Review from Finance Dept

I think generally we are at market rate, but the medical, vision, dental, and even the parental leave is not up to market standards.
