Easy to understand and fair
As a GSA it was no cap on commission so I was paid $9/hr but was actually making about $23/hr. Now in upper management and we get monthly bonuses and there is a clear path on how to max out your bonuses
they are offering insurance for us now
Higher hourly pay. Calculating tips shouldn't count as pay, especially when it varies from day to day.
Feel undervalued because this job should be about customer service, not sales. We are licensed professionals with clients who love and respect us, yet if we do not sell enough we might as well be trash. Bonuses in the service industry should be based on customer satisfaction, not KPIs.

I have no benefits, but they want I work harder, even cleaning the bathrooms when I'm a waxer. Changing my beacks backwards to a no show, when I was there waiting for my costumer. My raise depend on how much I work or sell every 6 months. If I don't do the quote, I dont get rise. For 1 point.

Stop using scare tactics to get results because it will only be temporary. Use educational coaching sessions where you self reflect and engage in continous coaching programs
Actual oversight for franchisees. Unannounced visits would be a fantastic thing.
Hire a manager who know who to properly manage a location.
Our franchisee needs to go to workshops or additional training to learn how to effectively motivate and inspire team. She is very negative and unprofessional with clientele

It was very relaxed and just felt more like a conversation. Granted this is when I was hired under a different franchise. Our current one has a mess of an interview process and I'm very happy I didn't have to go through it.

During my interview franchisee had me work unpaid. Franchisee insulted me and my family. Franchisee made me feel extremely uncomfortable. Franchisee commented on my appearance in a multitude of inappropriate ways. If I had not needed this job I would not of taken it. I had constant doubts.

I get several complaints from clients about the manager, we push products too hard, clients complain about being bombarded every time they come in
People feel rushed, feel the waxers are not professional enough, since the waxers are rushed the waxes they perform are subpar.
get people that care about your staff and don't just walk all over them and treat them like shit on the bottom of your shoe
The clients recognize that EWC is terrible, but they usually love their waxer and want to continue supporting them, OR they love the convenience of it.

EWC Corporate needs policies that protect the associates. If they're being mistreated they should be able to be a brand ambasador with any franchisee they choose. Let them be pasdionate and grow.
