To be honest the leadership Team is overall pretty good. Personally I have a lot of respect for Bonnie Tully. She is down to earth and is doing a great job driving the company.
more active participation in the BL's regional business strategy, launch more pro-business initiatives (like meeting with key account customer, presence at tradeshow/conference , build relationship etc.) and lend big support to the employees on the ground.
Some of the leadership does not find my position as being a 'value added' role in the company. Because mine is an assistant role, the company seems to be making a concerted effort to remove positions like mine because they are not 'value added. Obviously, I disagree with that philosophy.
Taking care of the plant sites they already own. Stop buying new ones. Becoming to big to take care of it all.
Being leaders - plain and simple. The Culture at Evonik Vancouver has been neglected and pushed aside without any true investment. Evonik Vancouver needs to be put as a critical priority with the goal of developing a positive environment with growth and a voice driven by a VAN team for the VAN team.
Base Pay, Benefits, and 401K
My package is awesome, I have health coverage, life insurance, 401k and a Bonus. I love working for Evonik

We have great insurance plans, our pay is good and the company does a lot of extra curricular things for their employees.
Salary and benefits are strong, and flexibility for my personal life is good.
I need to be same rate as my peers, I do almost more work than them but less paid
From a benchmarking perspective, there are similar positions (requirements, responsibilities) in other companies with a higher compensation.
The performance rating system could be improved. Regarding compensation, improvement of parity would go a long way.
I do believe I was "lowballed" in my financial comp. package for my current role, I later learned it was below the median range for the role, and I am a mid-career professional. Either way, the parental leave and PTO allocations are abysmal.
I think positions are not graded and evaluated appropriately. It is very difficult in the region to get a fair grading and representation. Colleagues in Germany in similar roles are graded higher.

I enjoy the challenge the workday brings.

The fact that I will spend too much of my day there (I do have a family), and these long hours are not alleviated by adequate PTO.
300 characters is not enough! Leadership, culture, and environment. Poor leadership and lack of attention to culture and engagement has strangled the positive environment and derailed potential for improvement.
