What makes you most happy at work?
Watching and recommending movies to people, having discussions with others about different movies we like.
What does the leadership team need to get better at?
The team needs to work on scheduling, punctuality, and finding additional quality people to add to the team.
What needs to change to make the company culture better?
I think the company itself has so much going on that the corporation has lost touch with the actualities of some of the businesses.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
Everyone has a great attitude, there is a lot of push and drive to work together and compete. Employees get to see new releases before they come out!
What are some of the best things about your team?
Teams change quickly and employees are often shared with multiple locations. Everyone is great to work with, there's really not a lot that can go wrong in a movie rentals!
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
Many of these stores are suffering financially, raises are given out in dimes. While the lower hourly rate is compensated with a small commission, it rarely adds up over $50 monthly due to lower income customers.
What is the best part about your compensation package?
While the offered pay may seem lower than average, there is opportunity for commission based sales. There are a lot of company competitions for these sales, it is a lot of fun and is a wonderful bonus for working hard!
