How employees describe working at FANDOM
update thier site related to fan figures
They make a lot of promises that they completely forget about, isolate you, and make you feel lesser than their executives.
I'm a long time contractor. I interviewed to be full-time years ago, was told I was being hired as staff, then forced into a "renewal" of an expired contract. They said they loved my work, but refused to give me a raise or even review. They offered little to zero support. Eventually they let me go.

How much diversity is there among employees at FANDOM?
Much less than what they say. Just a few female executives, ethnic groups are poorly represented given the vast majority of white people and although there are some foreigners, they don't seem to advance in the company the same way of Americans despite bringing similar results.
They say it's a lot, but could be better. The gender ration is very balanced, but not in the executive team. With the exception of the ones that are in higher positions or in the engineering department, foreginers are usually looked down and their skills undervalued.
What's one thing you wish you'd known before joining FANDOM?
That is much harder to change departments than how they say it.
That having a career inside of the company only happens if you know certain directors and treat them well.

Depends on which one you are in. The first is about half an hour, the following ones are around an hour long per interviewer.
It's a process. The first one with HR is just half an hour. The following one with the hiring manager is usually an hour. The third step is longer, which is in the office usually takes 3 hours since it has lots of different interviews. If there's a need for a 4th interview, it will be in the office again and be around an hour.
How do I do well in an interview at FANDOM?
Show that you know a lot about pop culture and is a passionate fan. When talking about your experiences, bring up projects and situations where you display the company values.
By being yourself and showing how your values correlate with the ones from the company, always have that in mind. Don't try to oversell yourself since it's a standard for interviewers that hard skills that are not essential for a position can be taught later, so focus on what is really important.
Who did you meet with during your interview? And how long did it take to hear back from FANDOM?
HR, hiring senior director, another director, hiring manager, community manager, other community manager and finally another director. From the first to the last interview passed about 20 days.
I met with the Senior Director, Director, Manager and Coworkers. The response was super fast.
How would you compare interviewing at FANDOM to other places you've interviewed?
Much longer process.
Much more pleasant, people here are very freindly and eager to make us less tense during the interview.
What should I wear for an interview at FANDOM?
** This may only apply to San Francisco. ** For an engineering interview I would suggest business casual for engineers. That means a t-shirt and jeans or chinos. I wouldn't wear any t-shirts that are opinionated. Something neutral or solid color would be just fine. Dressing a little nicer is ok too. You won't be faulted for that.
Whatever makes you feel yourself. There's no required dresscode and we are not there to judge how interviewees are dressed. Still, making a nice positive impact is always welcome.
