I have heard from long time co-workers that it seems to be every man for himself and I would be inclined to agree. No COLA, raises aren't always awarded year, so inflation leads to what are effectively pay cuts. Expensive HSA and weird dental coverage rules make medical issues costly.

Lots of upskilling opportunities are available.

Got to meet a lot of different people.
What makes you most happy at work?
There are some exciting opportunities and things that you can work on, although there is less control over the work of individual contributors than I would like.
What does the leadership team need to get better at?
Being direct and honest. Implement truly anonymized feedback methods. Consider anonymizing Q&A sessions where everyone can see what questions are being asked by people and passed by. Be accountable.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
HSA is our only option at the moment and it is very expensive, covering very little. High co-pays (if any), high deductibles, high premiums. Wacky dental and vision coverage rules. Life insurance takes two years to pay out. Benefits need an overhaul across the board, in my opinion.
