They care about their workers
Being different. An emphasis is placed on how “five guys is so different” no it’s not, it is extremely similar if not the same as other conglomerates. They butter us up in the beginning and dangle the hope of raises or a future. But never allow us to rea

The best part about my compensation package would be the bonus we get added from special customers and secret shoppers
Review from Customer Support Dept
1: Five guys had always been paying above minimum wage by a very decent margin for many years before say 2015. Since then, they have been floating above if not directly on minimum wage in state to state and giving absolutely no chance of raises, no matter how long you worked there. Suffocation.

that they do a full investigation on cypress store two or three years back from now

Those who go above and beyond are compensated the same as those who fail to meet expectations
Being paid more would make me feel better
I would feel better if we got vacation pay
The coworkers and my managers are people, they are not to blame for the price gouging done by corporate. The people you see day to day are not be be blamed, but those who you cannot see.

We all work hard and help one another.
My coworkers have a shared sense of being in this together and for the most part are receptive to directions
The best thing about my team are the bonds we built with one another.
We get the job done
They need to learn the basics.
Behaviour and rudeness towards eachother for no reason
they were lazy relying on the hard workers
Review from Product Dept
We need leadership that owns up to its own failures, rather than passing the buck.
Review from Operations Dept
Because of how absurd things are set up, many who work directly on line do their job, but do not care other than that. They speak on what they wish to and no matter what customers may be within the store. This is not because we don’t care about them, it’s because those above do not care of

The management was really young and it transpired through their decisions and leadership skills
Review from Product Dept
They need to care more about the employees and retention than an unrealistic 22% all in labor cost. Which included salaried managers.
Review from Operations Dept
The corporate culture is toxic from the top down. Instead of building growth through good will and treating employees fairly, leadership is arrogant and doesn't care about its people at all. Gordon Ramsay is a better person and leader than any of the Five Guys team.

Stop letting upper management be emotional when making decisions

We ask questions and care about working around your schedule
The on the job interview and getting a true idea if what its like to work there
Hired on the spot and worked 2 days later
My manager interviewing me was very chill about it and didn't make me feel uncomfortable
Have to wait up to 1-2 hours just for a manager to be ready. I.e. not proper shift management because of lack of staff.

Whenever Im noticed for working hard, by customers or my bosses. Being motivated by my team
Interacting with my co-workers and customers.
The atmosphere - competence and leadership needs to improve all together
Review from Product Dept
Too high priced and understaffed. Asking for perfection without giving realistic goals for time, labor, food cost and hours worked. No work life balance.
Review from Operations Dept
get rid of the false happiness rule, the arbitration agreement should be illegal, give the staff proper supplies to do the job, stop worrying so much about the companies image, if the food is good and you advertise well people will come
Review from Sales Dept
A more positive corporate culture would help. More in-person training is needed, not just sticking someone in front of a computer. How am I supposed to learn how to "correctly" pre-cook fries from a video?
