Michael Lohscheller — Chief Executive Officer of Opel at General Motors

Mr. Michael Lohscheller has been Chief Executive Officer of Opel Automobile GmbH (a/k/a, Adam Opel AG) at General Motors Company since June 13, 2017 and has been its Member of Management Board since September 1, 2012. Mr. Lohscheller served as Chief Financial Officer at Adam Opel AG since September 1, 2012. Mr. Lohscheller has more than 20 years experience in senior Finance positions at companies such as Daimler, Mitsubishi Motors Europe and Volkswagen. He had broad business responsibilities for Finance, IT, Purchasing and Logistics. He served as Executive Vice President of Volkswagen Group of America, Inc. (alternate name is Volkswagen of America, Inc.) from October 2007 to August 1, 2012 and also served as its Chief Financial Officer until August 1, 2012. Mr. Lohscheller served as Director of Group Marketing and Sales Planning of Volkswagen AG. He received a degree in European business studies from the University of Applied Sciences Osnabrueck, Germany and at the University of Barcelona, Spain, in 1992. From 1993 to 1996, he studied European Marketing Management while working and completed a Master of Arts (MA).
