It took me time to get used to working here, I was always at large process and policy drive public companies. After a while, I figured out that I would succeed here only if I took complete ownership for my projects plus I had to be much more aggressive in getting things accomplished. That worked.
What are some of the best things about your team?
We use a lot more creativity to get things done than process so it's not boring.
What did you like most about the interview process?
Access to senior leadership and the honesty in the replies to my questions. It was all true.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
Even though the company has grown a lot, we still act like a small and agile start up.
What do you like best about the leadership team?
Management won't hold your hand or even give you specific directions but they get out of the way and let you do what you need to make an impact.
What is the best part about your compensation package?
The medical is great but the dental is unheard of, I have a $50 a year deductible then that is all I pay for anything, with a $5000 max benefit.
What makes you most happy at work?
It's all about the work here so I worry less about politics and other people's agendas than at previous employers. I know if I try hard and take some chances, everything will fall in place. Risk taking is encouraged.
