Out of 75 Global Partners LP employee reviews, 59% were positive. The remaining 41% were constructive reviews with the goal of helping Global Partners LP improve their work culture.
The willingness to work together for the leadership that was willing that didn't have personal relationship with others
My manager is very knowledgeable and professional, and they work to insulate their employees from the tempers and blame-game played by the Jr. and Sr. VPs in the division. The Sr. VP is purely profit-driven and prefers a competitive corporate environment to a collaborative one.
The manager of the store is a good guy except for playing favorites with a family member/employee. The TM as put here is pathetic and anyone above them. The VP ignores your complaints made directly and delegates the task to other mgt. Thus creating a never ending loop pf not getting fixed or better!
The transparency and openness they provide
Prompt on issues solves problems right away
Getting to know their employees better, and recognize good work when they see it.
The whole team needs to be done away with and rebuilt. Between the micromanaging, the disconnect with the front line, the lack of knowledge that not every store is the same, toxic use of buzz words and 'family' it's absolutely disgusting
We need the tools to do our job. Anything that would make our jobs easier and safer are not given to us.
Terrible leadership & just an abysmal company to work for.
The leadership team needs a complete reorganization. Put the right people in the right places so that decisions that best fit the company and the employees are made correctly.
retirement match if I remember it was 6% match
The yearly bonuses are super helpful
401k time off when needed
Overtime pto 401 k accessibility
My manager needs to concentrate on her employees. Most of her time is spent on audits and paperwork while actual issues go unaddressed because she can not deal with them.
The employees are worked to the bone with horrible pay. The mess with your hours. (Ex. 2p-p8 then 4:30a-10-11a. Your complaints are ignored. Hostile work environment. Constant we are watching you everywhere! No respect. Mess with hours so they don't give you benefits. Ignores health concerns.
Expected to take vicious abuse from general public. Medical benefits costly and have high deductable and poor coverage.
The company does not value hard work, there is no upward mobility and no recognition
Compensation was horrid with Global LP
Ability to work together a short notice
Like every team there's good and bad but for the good the willingness to help on a moment's notice the cons supposed to be eligible for rehire I applied two or three weeks so was a manager and haven't even gotten a call back for a cashier
Most people need to work, and this company offers employment. That's about it.
We have each others back. We all have bad days and the rest of us pick up the slack on any given day.
My team is composed of Gen X and Millennial individuals who work together well despite different backgrounds and opinions. My co-workers like working together and learning from each other's differences. I feel my team is unique in this willingness to embrace others.
Everything we have one employee who was a shift lead has never been trained. He was also an ASM before I took over he was never trained, nor doing any of the duties, but he was getting the compensation while I was doing the job.
No leadership at any level in the company
There is terrible turnover in my department so getting to know your coworkers is almost a waste of time. Co-workers need to be trained correctly in order to have everyone on the same page to get along.
The diversity of different ways to help minimize the impact on the environment
Our ability to get things done.
The welcoming nature of my team from the first day I started.
The culture is generally positive, but often one of work, work, work, and never a thank you, when you work on a weekend, your vacation or late at night it is just expected.
Understanding and compassion for what frontline workers are dealing with.
The environment with Global LP is remarkably unrewarding
Company culture needs to start from the top. Upper management needs to hire people who value good work ethics and promote a healthy work-life balance.
I met with upper management.
The appreciation of my experience and knowledge.
I got to meet and be interviewed by all my coworkers. I appreciated having an opportunity to meet them and evaluate them. This gave me an opportunity to consider whether or not I wanted to accept a job offer, knowing the people I would be working with.
The original manager I interviewed with no longer works for the company due to health issues... Not like exposure to benzene(in gasoline) and diabetes has a public connection, unless you Google it! Other than that, it was simple because of her.
I had my first Zoom interview and it was also my first panel interview.
Still trying to get interview to come back to work after 10 years of working for the same company from cashier up to management and in charge of environmental compliance
They should be honest about who they are
The company needs to standardize its process rather than having each department's management team "wing it" during interviews. Specific questions to get the right people hired rather than hiring just a body to fill a space.
One appreciation would showed even when I would come and work on my days off to improve the store one of the reasons I initially left is would volunteer to constantly take on extra labor but was not recognized for it
That I'm doing my personal best.
I enjoy my work and I like my coworkers. I don't like my divisional leadership's constant need to blame someone for every bad decision; sometimes the landscape shifts under our feet without warning and what was a great idea 5 minutes ago is now an expensive blunder.
My co-workers in my area.
I enjoy the collaboration with my team and working on new projects. I just don't appreciate the lack of Recognition
Someone from HR needs to contact me immediately!
They see how employees are treated and do not like it. Many have decided not to shop at the store again or any Global LP company. The price gouging is insane on the gas. They are having the most profits ever, but wot lower the price and refuse to pay employees any better/more!
Pay us enough so we can actually survive
The company does not care about people
Poor pay, poor management, extremely high turnover, overall negative work environment.
