The people and team environment of the department that help keep us motivated during stressful and busy periods.
What makes you most happy at work?
Accomplishing my tasks and being acknowledged for my efforts. The acknowledgement does not happen often but I try to remember to always thank my direct reports for their efforts. A little appreciation goes a long way.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
The volume of work and extra hours that are needed in order to meet deadlines is expected and is not compensated enough during annual bonus, and the salary for the multiple roles is not reflected appropriately. There is no movement or progression just added responsibility.
