So far, it has been a great experience. I have referred 6 people and all of them have since been hired. I love the position and the job I just wish the pay was more competitive or we received more commission. I don't think it's right as an inbound sales rep to get 1% GP on a $30k order.
What are some of the best things about your team?
They engage and are helpful when a question arises.
What makes you most happy at work?
Engaging with customers. Having the repeat customers who come back due to their experience with me. Offering the customers new products or finding products to help with their business needs. I love doing the emails and speaking with various people for all over the country.
What do you like best about the leadership team?
There is always and open door policy. They coach you into becoming a better inbound sales rep to prepare to move within the company to other departments. Although my Dept Manager Chelsea Martin is extremely busy, if there is something you want to speak about she's always open. I love that.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
We here in inbound sales only make $15.50 per hr with 1% gp on all sales. I wish the hourly wage would increase to at least starting at $17/hr or the GP would be the same as the Account managers. With higher cost of living, food, and gas prices it is often times a struggle.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
I love my supervisor Lionel Capers! He has an open door policy, is extremely understanding and helps you to reach your goals. I wish that we had our meetings with the entire team instead of 4 or 5 of us at a time. This company thus far is by fast the best I have worked for aside from the pay.
