Golden Hippo has a very open and friendly office vibe. Mentoring and learning is encouraged, and friendships are made. It's a great place to work.

I’d say “comfortable yet put together.” We’re a casual environment, so full business attire (like a suit & tie for example) is not at all necessary, but I wouldn’t show up to your interview in ripped jeans or sweatpants either.

Difficulties are in lack of vision & guidance
We are a private company, so this information digs a bit too deeply into our private company info.
Everything is growing! The company is good at identifying what's working and what isn't, and changing things quickly to maximize that. Only difficulty is normal growing pains associated with rapid growth.

You need to keep your naughty bits covered....but there really is no daily attire thing.
Come as you are. Jeans and t-shirt are very common.
What is Golden Hippo's policy towards pets in the workplace?
There are dogs all over the place. This might not be the place for people with pet allergies. There is a 3 strike law if they go to the bathroom indoors. After the third strike that pet won't be allowed back in the office.
Well-behaved dogs are welcome.

You need to have some idea about marketing, but not be so locked in to one way of doing things you're afraid to experiment. Constant learning too

Employees are expected to be in-house full-time, but managers are generally flexible when special circumstances arise.
It is preferred everyone works from the office, but there have been special situations where some of us have had to take care of work from home.

As long as you're getting your work done, and you're around when your team needs/expects you to be, managers generally won't breathe down your neck about scheduling.
Somewhat flexible. It's not a company with unlimited time off or anything, but you can get in between 9-11 and leave between 5-7 accordingly, and managers are pretty understanding if you need time off.
