Long story short I feel like we hire good people. I have had a pleasant experience with the people I have met so far. Goodrx cares about actually making an engaging+positive workplace culture. Lots of events, catered food, full time barista, bar in office.

The CEOs legitimately care about the staff and make their enjoyment at work their top priority. Maybe even above being profitable which probably ends up making the company being even more profitable!
The Co-CEOs and all managers truly want all employees to ENJOY working here and they do everything in their power to ensure that is the case. I love all the fun activities and appreciate the efforts to foster camaraderie, especially during the pandemic.

Everything here is meant to make our work environment the best possible (flexible hours, vacations, stocked kitchen and catering, quarterly outings...). I have never been in a company like this before!

What needs to change to make the company culture better?
Engineering culture at GoodRx needs a massive overhaul. The main components I would recommend are: 1. Eliminate waterfall-type development methods, particularly 'inceptions' 2. Give teams real autonomy. Right now every team is strangled by executive meddling and stakeholder overload.

Firing someone within first year of hire is a not because they were bad, it's because we failed to train and motivate them to perform. Try reducing churn rate. Managers must treat team with respect. They need to make sure the team members are not overworked. Different members have different capacity
