The executives come down and greet and serve us lunches and participate in events with everyone. They are very accesible and meet all new employees
The leadership team is very accessible and willing to listen. They care about Great West and do not shy away from teaching and mentoring. I enjoy that I walk into their office and have an impromptu conversation and they genuinely care about what I am saying and my career growth.

Transparency... perhaps actually review effectiveness of department managers and weed out those who create toxic and hostile work environments
They need to be more fair. Too many favorites.

The health insurance is great in regards to both coverage and cost.
37.5 hour work week is awesome. And all of the paid time off for holidays and excused absences.

The pay is sub-par for their boasted revenues. If you make that much, then pay your employees who got you here better

I work in a small support department. Everyone is very close knit and helpful
We are a family. Great West is a large company however everyone that works here develops relationships within our department and others. Great West sees the benefit in this socialization.
Our teams work hard and collaborate really well.
I work with some great women, only a few are caught up in the gossip.

I enjoy the events and opportunities we are given to get involved. This includes events Great West host and they encourage us to get involved within the community. They have paid and supported me being on multiple boards and in community organizations.
Company wants us healthy, paid breaks for stretch time, games and prizes.
Realistic work life balance, diversity (it shouldnt be like a one-spotted dalmation...)

When I interviewed I was also able to job shadow and see if the job would be something I would enjoy and a good fit for my skills. Talking to what would be my coworkers was nice
The interview process was simple. Perhaps slow for some but felt like the right pace for me.
Interviewers were very positive about the company and were interested in me personally as well as professionally. Interview process/background checks just takes too long.

I really enjoy my job tasks. I do well and am rewarded for doing so. My coworkers are very friendly and that makes days overall very wonderful. We have a hybrid schedule and are able to work at home for part of the week as well
I am proud every day that I get the opportunity to work for such a strong, stable company. In everything we do we are supported and backed by years of experience and knowledge.
the great work-life balance, investment into the employees and the people working here make this a great place to work.
Management is not fair to everyone.
Company has grown, but the staffing allowance is not keeping up. We need more people instead of expecting the current employees to keep up with the growing business and cover other employees when they are out.
