Hearst Compensation Employee Reviews

What is the best part about your compensation package?

Health and wellness benefits and 401k match

Unlimited earnings possibilties rewading success

As a contractor I don’t get benefits from Hear

The union negotiated a fair settlement on behalf of O employees

I am very happy with my compensation!

I feel I am being paid comparably to other companies for the same position.

Good base comp. Health ins. is not amazing and is expensive comparatively. Raises are a steady few %. No bonuses for individual contributors

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

Salaries are based upon a 40 hour work week, however understaffing make an 8 hour day impossible. Hearst's compensation is well below Charlotte area averages. Insurance premiums are extremely high and 401k match amounts are unimpressive.

If i was paid as contractually written.

Well honestly in my belief I paid my dues and I would never wish the hardship if endured on the people who violated my rights and my contract more importantly my equity and pursuit of happiness which from my opinion it's not there fault entirely . Your a product of your environment and iv studied...

I am not paid based on my experience in the industry, the company, or my education level. We do not discuss raises or opportunities for upward mobility on reviews. This leads to an overall lack of motivation.

The pay needs to increase for the amount of work we do.

There is no incentive or room to grow here

Compensation was locked for lower management levels; lack of bonus availability

Team members who leave are not replaced, and you're expected to pick up their work in addition to your own with no raise or acknowledgement.

Review from Communications Dept

I am very underpaid, but not underpaid compared to others in my profession in other companies

Review from Communications Dept

Make less than much younger, newly hired employees. Feel better if salary was adjusted.

Review from Communications Dept

More transparency of the levels, the pay grades and how to get promoted would be nice.
