Executive Bio

Ms. Elizabeth D. Bierbower, also known as Beth, has been Segment President of Group Business at Humana Inc. since 2018. Ms. Bierbower served as the President of Group and Specialty at Humana Inc. since April 25, 2017 until 2018 and served as its President of National Employer Group Segment since May 2012 until April 25, 2017. In this role, Ms. Bierbower leads all of Humana's Employer-focused business, including Large Group and Small Group sales, distribution and market operations, Specialty Benefits, Group Medicare, Humana's new Health and Productivity Solutions area and National Sales. Since 2009, She led Humana's Specialty Benefits area, including dental, vision, life, disability and workplace voluntary benefits and helped the Specialty organization grow, in part by increasing Specialty's dental and vision networks from a multi-regional to a national footprint. Ms. Bierbower started her career at Humana in 2001. As Product Innovation leader she drove the consumer strategy that included development of new products and services that helped position Humana as a leader in consumerism. She has published a book titled Engage! A Guide to Involving Your Consumers in their Health. She earned a master's degree in public management, graduating with highest honors, from Carnegie Mellon University.
