What part of Iam Robotics's business is growing fastest? What part is having difficulties?
The whole company is growing very fast including the hardware and software teams as well as marketing and business development group.
If you could make changes, how would you improve the culture at Iam Robotics?
I would put into place stricter guidelines that determine when hardware and software is allowed to move towards the next stage of development (e.g., moving from sandbox to stable development to testing to alpha/beta then to official release).
What do people at Iam Robotics think about the CEO? What do they do well and what can they improve?
Everyone loves the CEO and the direction that he is taking the company. He is very approachable. He values employee input and will ask how things are going with each group. As far as improvement IAM needs to move towards a more repeatable and defined process with regards to releasing both software and hardware.
How's the work life balance at Iam Robotics?
They want people to take their weekends off and stress that it is not necessary or required that its employees work on weekends like other small startup companies (some of which may have mandatory 60 hour weeks).
How does Iam Robotics make decisions around promotions?
We are small and since I started I am not aware of anyone who was promoted. Being a small company we are a relatively flat organization.
How's the vacation policy at Iam Robotics?
Officially we have two weeks paid vacation and if we need to, we can take off one week of vacation unpaid each year. If we need additional time off we can usually work something out with our boss (e.g., if I work Sunday can I take off next Friday).
Does Iam Robotics have any remote positions?
Not that I am aware of.
