What kinds of community outreach does IDEXX Laboratories participate in?
They would be able to contribute more if they focused on what people think they do. Diagnostic testing. You shouldn't have to tell your vet you would like the results checked again every time you bring your animal in. You can't have fast and accurate. It doesn't work that way. If you want things done quickly, the quality isn't there. Do what you tell the clients you will. That will be contribution enough.

What needs to change to make the company culture better at IDEXX Laboratories?
Trying to retain fully trained staff would be super helpful. But their focus is on trying to fill seats in the revolving door that is IDEXX. Just get them in the door. Get those results out. 8 o'clock, 8 o'clock, 8 oclock...we're not robots.
At our location, we are not viewed as the same as the main branch but that's okay. We are just as good if not better.

One supervisor managing 3 teams all of which perform completely different tasks within the overall department
It depends on what you call leadership. Our "leadership" changes every year. New supervisors every year. New managers every year. That says it all. New redundant departments, departments designed to slow labs down, constant changes, people quitting every week...if they want to get better, they would listen to current supervisors and techs. But they don't.

My team consists of some of the best people you can find. Personally helped hire 3 on the team with the other core person on the team
