Jeffrey Kowalski — Sr. VP, Legal at Imprivata
Executive Bio
Jeff has provided steadfast leadership for the Legal function for over a decade at Imprivata, and has been a member of the executive leadership staff since 2017. During his tenure, he facilitated Imprivata’s initial public offering in 2014, and then managed the successful sale to Thoma Bravo in 2016.
Jeff brings over 20 years of legal experience, with niche subject matter expertise in the software industry, and he oversees all legal matters, including corporate governance, regulatory compliance, litigation, intellectual property and contract negotiation.
Prior to joining Imprivata, he held senior legal leadership roles at Nuance Communications and Art Technology Group (successful sale to Oracle in 2010), supporting a wide range of generalist in-house legal issues and managing countless related matters.
Jeff is an active and admitted member of the Massachusetts Board of Bar Overseers, holds a Juris Doctor from University of Massachusetts School of Law and a Bachelor of Science from Boston University.
