Tom Timperio — SVP, Worldwide Engineering at Imprivata
Executive Bio
Tom Timperio is Senior Vice President, Worldwide Engineering at Imprivata. He is responsible for leading all global engineering and software development teams and activities, including software as a service (SaaS), mobile, client/server, and agent analytics/AI. With over 20 years’ experience building and leading high-performing teams to develop and support enterprise software, Tom has placed special focus on highly regulated industries — such as healthcare and the financial sector.
Before joining Imprivata, Tom led a mobile device management solution team at Good Technology (now Blackberry). He has also held senior engineering leadership positions at other tech companies including Iron Mountain Digital and Wolters Kluwer, where he oversaw the development of solutions including digital storage, risk management, enterprise backup, data classification, and digital archiving.
Tom earned a bachelor’s degree from Kenyon College and a master’s degree from the University of Pennsylvania. A multilingual executive, he is professionally fluent in French, and also speaks Spanish and Russian.
