It's been a fun ride---lots of growth, lots of new products and customers. However, it's had downsides, too---many good friends have left, and I'm not sure if it was because of something missing here or more pay/opportunities somewhere else. We always talk about recruiting, but not retention. :(
What is the best part about your compensation package?
Our health care is very reasonably priced for the features it provides. It's almost like a 'stealth raise' in a way.
What do you like best about the leadership team?
Many of the leadership team were internal promotions, so they understand the struggles that individual contributors and junior leaders face on a daily basis.
What makes you most happy at work?
Sending customers away happy. Happy customers means bigger renewals and more word of mouth, more word of mouth means more customers, more customers means more revenue, which keeps the company growing.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
There's not many barriers between departments. If I need help from another org, it's easy enough to pull in resources to get work done---there's little or no animosity between orgs and the bureaucracy is low.
What are some of the best things about your team?
Our team has a wide array of people with different skills, backgrounds, and abilities. They are smart, funny, and driven to succeed in the hands of adversity. They are the first to say 'hang on, hold my beer' when something bad happens.
