I wish leadership would take career goals for more seriously instead of dismissing with "its just a title" or "I don't think that will be possible". For such a large company, its very hard to feel like you can be taken seriously all of the time.
I love this company, but I do not feel I am given the respect I have earned. Nobody is mean or harrassing towards me. Nobody is negative, but when I try to move the ball forward for myself, advance my career, I feel like I'm shoved back into my corner. Politely. Even great leadership has issues...
I enjoy being an employee. I am worried that the new computer system has removed focus away from what we do to what is required to keep the lights on. No advancement. Good leadership with it appears to have no real authority to run the company.
Dealing with my coworkers and accomplishing goals.
Most of them are intelligent and hard working
Approachable. Honest. They have integrity.
Vacation time is pretty fair
Dedicated to doing good work
Many of the members of the leadership team are approachable
Its very calm and usually not a lot of drama
Personable and approachable. I believe they care on a personal level.
Those who are willing to lead and participate do so professionally
Over the past few months, leaving at the end of the day.
Being appreciated for the work I perform, which is usually hit or miss
There is a desire to work together and help each other for the most part.
They may not act on everything, but they at least listen to what you have to say.
Pay is fair. Insurance is the best but wish it was better. Vacation policy is very good.
There is a belief the company is a good company. There are problems, but the positives do outweigh the negatives.
I want to believe I matter. My coworkers, peers and leaders make me feel that way most of the time.
My coworkers are good people for the most part. Some have egos, but its to be expected. I trust them though and that is important.
I like the bonus. Medical insurance is okay, but it is not up to date. Dental is good. Free lunch is really good (on special celebration days).
Its too difficult to move up and while the pay is competitive, a lot of people are NOT being compensated for everything they do. Its more about title and not actual responsibility.
I believe most employees want to improve the company. I also believe they want to get along. There are outliers that prevent that. But Hoshizaki in Japan has really pushed a positive culture on us we did not have with previous owners.
