We hire people to throw bodies at problems, then have nowhere to put them because we refuse to add on to the plant or the offices. There is no path to advancement unless someone retires or quits and most times you're asked to do 3 peoples jobs with no extra compensation.

It's good but the lack of advancement opportunities and work load on a few key employees leads to burnout

No opportunities for advancement, lack of discipline on certain employees not doing their jobs, and lack of communication from leadership keep the average employee in the dark about what is happening. The union runs the plant not operations.

There are no advancement opportunities in the company unless someone retires and then the position is usually filled from an external hire.
