Ms. Leanne Caret has been Executive Vice President at The Boeing Company since March 1, 2016 and has been its Chief Executive Officer & President of Defense, Space & Security since February 2016. Ms. Caret served as the Chief Executive Officer of Global Services & Support, Defense, Space & Security, President of Global Services & Support, Defense, Space & Security at The Boeing Company since March 1, 2016 and served as its Vice President of Boeing Integrated Defense Systems, Inc. (BDS) since April 1, 2014. Ms. Caret served as the Chief Financial Officer/Vice President of Finance of Boeing Defense, Space & Security at Boeing Integrated Defense Systems, Inc. since April 1, 2014. Ms. Caret was responsible for all financial activities of BDS, including its three businesses ' Boeing Military Aircraft, Network & Space Systems and Global Services & Support ' as well as an advanced technology development organization known as Phantom Works. She leads an international organization of more than 5,000 employees that includes teams in financial planning and analysis, accounting, estimating, contracts and pricing, integrated scheduling, rate forecasting, procurement financial analysis and business operations and earned value management compliance. Ms. Caret served as Vice President and General Manager of Vertical Lift, a division of Boeing Military Aircraft business unit. In this role, she was responsible for business growth and program execution for a portfolio of cargo, tiltrotor and attack rotorcraft, including the AH-64 Apache, H-47 Chinook, AH-6, V-22 Osprey and SB>1 Defiant. She led a team of 4,000 employees and international network of suppliers and partners focused on advancing rotorcraft technology to meet the current and future needs of customers around the globe. Previously, she served as the H-47 Program Manager at Boeing. In this role, she led the production and modernization efforts for the U.S. Army and Special Operations Forces Chinook programs, which include the CH-47F and MH-47G. In addition, she directed activities for international programs in 18 countries operating Chinooks. She joined Boeing in 1988. She is a Member of the American Helicopter Society and Women in Aviation International. She serves on the Widener Board of Trustees and the Executive Leadership Board for Go Red For Women. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Kansas State University and a Master's degree in Business Administration from Wichita State University. In addition, she has earned certifications from Harvard University in the Program for Leadership Development and the International Security Defense Program, as well as completed the Integral Leadership Program at the University of Notre Dame.
