Mr. Muilenburg served as the President of IDS Support Systems of Boeing Co., from February 2008 to August 2009. He led Boeing's Combat Systems division and successful Future Combat Systems program. He served as Vice President and General Manager of the Boeing Combat Systems division from 2006 to 2008. He joined The Boeing Company in 1985 as an Engineering Intern in Seattle. He served as Vice President and Program Manager for Future Combat Systems from 2003 to 2006. He has been Director of The Boeing Company since July 2015. He has been an Independent Director of Caterpillar Inc. since June 2011. He serves on the Association of the United States Army (AUSA) Council of Trustees and the Washington University Board of Trustees. He is an Associate Fellow of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics and a Fellow of the Royal Aeronautical Society. Mr. Muilenburg holds a bachelor's degree in aerospace engineering and an honorary doctor of science degree from Iowa State University as well as a master's degree in aeronautics and astronautics from the University of Washington.
