Ms. Shelley K. Lavender serves as Senior Vice President of Strike, Surveillance and Mobility - Defense, Space & Security and St. Louis Senior Executive of Defense, Space & Security at The Boeing Company and served as its President of Military Aircraft - Defense, Space & Security. Ms. Lavender served as the President of Boeing Military Aircraft (BMA) Business Unit at Boeing Integrated Defense Systems, Inc. since December 31, 2013. She served as Vice President and General Manager of Integrated Logistics for the Global Services & Support business within Boeing Defense, Space & Security. She served as Vice President/Chief Engineer for Boeing Military Aircraft and as F/A-18E/F Super Hornet Program Manager, responsible for all aspects of program performance including development and production. She was also the director of Tactical Aircraft Integrated Product Teams and the F/A-18 Chief Engineer. She began her aerospace engineering career at Hughes Aircraft Company, El Segundo, Calif., in 1986, as an Engineer on the F-15 APG-70 Radar Program. She joined Boeing in 1988 as an Avionics Engineer. Over the years, she has held a variety of positions of increasing responsibility, including Program Manager for the T-38 Avionics Upgrade Program and Director of Tactical Aircraft Mission Systems in St. Louis. She served as Vice President of Logistics of Boeing at Boeing Commercial Airplanes, Inc. since December 2013. She oversee a broad performance-based logistics portfolio as well as Boeing Defence Australia and Boeing Defence UK. She served as Vice President of Global Strike for BMA and General Manager of Global Strike for BMA until January 1, 2013. She serves as a Directod of The United Way of Greater St. Louis and also serves on the National Council for Washington University, Olin Business School. She served as a Director of The Magic House children's museum in St. Louis. Ms. Lavender holds a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Illinois and a Master's in Business Administration from Washington University.
