  • Have the right skill-set they are looking for - especially for the more analytical positions in Capital Markets, REIB, Hotels, etc. Financial Modeling (Real Estate), know the markets, make sure your resume answers the question "Why Real Estate" before they ask you in an interview. If you need to boost your analytical skills - consider online real estate coursework, financial modeling bootcamps like breaking into wall street, or an M.S. in Real Estate (Finance) at a school like NYU, Cornell, Columbia, MIT, Georgetown, etc.
