What do you like best about the leadership team?
Positive attitude toward me I guess
Everyone is calm, little to no drama
we are competent and work well together
They are fun to work with
Their fairness and willingness to work as the associates do
What does the leadership team need to get better at?
training new hires and being friendly. very rude and unhelpful
Communicating better with staff memebers.
What is the best part about your compensation package?
Compensations are good considering that most of us are part time employees
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
To have more of it
Employee giftcard drawings at every location periodically. Financial reward for having knowledge of fabric and sewing. Allow employees to make and wear their own aprons. allow some of last months magazines and last seasons pattern books to be in the break room. Give employees discontinued patterns.
I am financially undervalued because I deserve better pay, more paid vacations and a retirement plan
actually give decent hours. they hire too many people and don't give anyone enough hours to live on
What are some of the best things about your team?
Genuinely care about the company and each other
Creative and crafty people, interested in reusing and repairing and sharing information. Female energy love of fabric crafts or sewing.
We know each other really well. Know our strengths.
They are fun to work with
They are hard working and are knowledgable
What do your coworkers need to improve and how could you work together better?
actually be friendly and helpful
the managers are the biggest problems
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
Everyone is treated with respect and kindnesss
Beautiful fabric colorful displays and desirable tools, whimsies and projects. Fun to stock, fun to sell, fun to use stuff. Surrounded by others who love this stuff too.
The environment is based on creativity and art and tends to draw in interesting customers who add to the mostly ladies only environment.
some customers are nice and some coworkers are friendly

Very relaxed and conversational. No pressure
Its been a few years. Nothing stands out
I was made to be comfortable
hired quick, but they hire everyone quick for temporary positions

What makes you most happy at work?
New challenges and solving them
Working on a project, keeping busy taking turns as the cut person and straightening fabric.
That I have a job to pay bills
Giving suggestions, solutions, and instructions to the customers, helping them solve their creative problems then. watch them get really excited about their projects.
