The work is hard. Sometimes there just isn't enough time in the day to get through things, but I am confident in my team that if I do fall short someone will be there to help out. My manager encourages us to take care of our selves first and foremost and ask for help. It's hard, but rewarding
What do you like best about the leadership team?
Our leadership is very dedicated the company and us employees and are very transparent in their decisions, especially in difficult times like we've seen with Covid. I know where we stand and how we're going to pull through this, it's very reassuring.
What are some of the best things about your team?
I love that there is a good mix of long term Keysight employees, that have been around 20+ yrs since HP. There are also a lot of fresh faces like me that help bring new ideas. It's a good balance of long standing traditions and culture + room for new ideas and improvements
What makes you most happy at work?
Pre-Covid there was a very strong sense of community. People are very friendly and open. It's a bit more difficult to get that sense of belonging to a community virtually, but the company has really tried to create spaces for us to connect. I myself don't really feel connected, but I just prefer F2F
What did you like most about the interview process?
My (now) manager was very warm and welcoming. The questions were difficult, but she was patient and let me take my time to ensure I was giving my all. I met with a few more people before and after my interview with her that were a bit tougher, but obviously I didn't do too bad.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
Being the new person on a team made up of mostly long timers (20+ yrs) I was worried I would be shut out, but my team proved me wrong! From day 1 they were very welcoming and encouraging. There are some that can be resistant to new processes, but a majority are trusting and receptive to new ideas
