Slowly worsening over time due to neglect of comman economic principles. People don't need "corperate culture" they need their bills payed, and anything you are doing as a company that forgets that is only hurting yourself.

Better training, or better pay to discourage turnover.
What did you like most about the interview process?
When done by a GM it helps a new employee feel welcome and not that they are an underling of an underling.
What needs to change to make the company culture better?
Understanding the disparity between "local family restaurant" and corperate conglomerate. You can't be one and call yourself the other. Employees don't care, we just want to be able to pay our bills.
What does the leadership team need to get better at?
Understanding that a manager getting a bonus for you working harder is not incentive for you to work harder. If a manager on salary can't be motivated without incentive than why would a minimum wage employee?
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
Industry competitive wages and benefits not being provided is clear evidence of being undervalued regardless of how it makes you feel. I would feel better about my compensation if it were closer to a livable rate and ajusted annually.
What's going wrong and how can it be improved?
If you want to be cheap, do that and own up to it. No one expects Wal-Mart or McDonald's to be good. But you can't keep relying on nostalgia when the younger generations only remember it being cheap.
