Executive Bio
Mr. Ronald H. Shiftan has been the Chief Operating Officer of Lifetime Brands, Inc. since June 9, 2005. Mr. Shiftan served as a Consultant at Lifetime Brands, Inc. from October 2002 to November 2, 2004. In 1973, Mr. Shiftan joined Bear, Stearns & Co., where he was a General Partner and was responsible for its International Corporate Finance Department. While at Bear, Stearns, Mr. Shiftan initiated the first issuance of non-U.S. Dollar denominated securities in the U.S. capital markets, as well as the first initial public offering of equity securities simultaneously offered in multiple international markets. From 1996 to 1998, Mr. Shiftan also served as the Chairman of Patriot Group Inc. (Patriot Group LLC). He has been Vice Chairman of Lifetime Brands, Inc. since November 2004. He served as Vice Chairman of HealthCare Ventures, L.L.C. Mr. Shiftan has been an Independent Director of Grupo Vasconia, S.A.B. since April 2008 and Lifetime Brands, Inc., since 1984. He serves as a Director of GS Internacional S/A (GSI). He serves as a Trustee of Meridian Health System, Inc. He served as a Director of Rumson-Fair Haven Bank & Trust Company and HealthCare Ventures, L.L.C. He served as Executive Director of the bi-state agency following the terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center in 2001. From 1998 to 2002, he served as Deputy Executive Director of The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey. Mr. Shiftan is a graduate of the University of Virginia (B.A., 1966) and Columbia University's School of Law (J.D., 1969).
