Getting to know the leadership team.

I liked that I was able to speak to leadership from all the different orgs within the company. I was able to ask questions from all teams that I would be working with if hired.

I enjoyed meeting the different levels of Leadership before agreeing to join the company.

The interview process really set to make sure that you understood why our product is impactful. Having that core understanding among the team from the get go aligns us all in the work we are doing.

I like how the interview process didn't solely focus on "gotcha" problems that some companies like to use. Ones where you have to have studied and know the "trick" to solve it. The interview truly tested a real work environment sort of situation.

The speed of the interview process was the best part. I didn't feel like the team was trying to waste any time, and that the interview questions and projects were fair and important.

The hiring team moved quickly and always made next steps/timelines very clear.

I liked the case study portion because it gives you a chance to demostrate your strengths and get an idea of what it will be like to work in the job day to day. It is not an easy interview process but definitely is worth it!

I loved the interviewing process at Lightyear. Instead of the "tell me a time where..." interview style that most companies adopt, Lightyear leadership will just sit with you and have a laid back conversation to review your background and skillsets.

I liked that they allowed me to talk to current employees with backgrounds similar to mine when I was on the fence about making the jump to a start up.

Meeting multiple department leads that are invested in finding the RIGHT fit.

The leadership all took an interest in getting to know me, all the way up to Dennis, our CEO. The hiring process has proven to be very effective, given the amazing culture we have.

Meeting leads from several departments which gave a more dynamic perspective of the company.

I loved that I was able to speak to each interviewer as a human being instead of having to format all of my responses using the "STAR" method.
