Executive Bio
Mr. Richard H. Edwards, also known as Rick, has been an Executive Vice President of International at Lockheed Martin Corporation since January 8, 2018. He was an Executive Vice President of Missiles and Fire Control (MFC) at Lockheed Martin Corporation since December 31, 2012 until January 8, 2018. Mr. Edwards served as Vice President of Tactical Missiles and Combat Maneuver Systems (TM/CMS) for Missiles and Fire Control (MFC), where he was responsible for all aspects of Precision Fires, Close Combat Systems, Ground Vehicles, Nuclear Systems and Solutions programs, as well as Missiles and Fire Control's business in the United Kingdom. During that time, he achieved significant expansion into new business markets, doubling the size of the TM/CMS line of business in approximately five years as well as increasing the international content of the portfolio to greater than 35 percent. Mr. Edwards has held several significant leadership positions including: Capture Program Director for the Joint Common Missile, Javelin Program Director and Tactical Missiles Program Director, where he was responsible for all aspects of Javelin, Hellfire, Longbow, Predator, Common Missile and Precision Guided Munitions programs. Mr. Edwards served in a variety of increasingly responsible positions at Fairchild Republic Company in Hagerstown, Md., where he gained experience in cost estimating and scheduling as well as industrial engineering. He serves on the Board of Directors of the Dallas Opera, Inc., and the Board of Advisors for the Dallas Regional Chamber of Commerce. He is a member of the Association of the United States Army Council of Trustees. He serves on the Committee of the Academy of Medicine, Engineering and Science of Texas for the Industry and Community Affiliates. Mr. Edwards graduated from Gettysburg College with a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration.
